About REMpak

REMpak started in April of 2014. I started the company to be an agent to manufacturers in multiple industries. In the beginning few years I sold products into food packaging, gift card packaging, and pvc extrusion. It’s the latter where I met Jeremie Grondin, my current partner. Through our collaboration, REMpak continued to be an agent for manufacturers, but we recognized that to truly build value in the company we needed to be the distributor. So, for the last few years the goal of REMpak is to be the buyer and seller of our products rather than just collect commission on what we sell. While we do both, the future is for REMpak to grow the distribution business. Combined we have 25+ years experience in the building materials industry. We have grown our sales from $ 50,000 in 2014 to $ 7.8 million in 2022.

Roy’s Story

College – NAU – Flagstaff, AZ Class of 2006 – BSBA Finance/International Business

Early Career – I worked for a small distributor of food packaging where I managed a network of agents and brokers in the US and Canada. During this time I did work in Holland, Germany, France, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, and Ecuador.

2014 – In April I started REMpak. I continued my work in the packaging space while evolving more into the building material space.

Inspiration – I’ve always had a drive for entrepreneurialism. This is inspired heavily by my grandfather of the same name. He never graduated high school, went to WWII, came back the US and what started as a simple plumber was a multi-million dollar enterprise upon his death.

Current – I’ve been married to my wife since 2009. We share a love for animals and sports. Our passion is to travel and enjoy the cultures of the world.

Why We’re Unique

Flexible – We are a small company with an extensive reach. We can pivot quickly when required.

Growth – We’ve developed growth relationships with our customers by delivering on what we say. We say ‘yes’ to our customers when most will say ‘no’ due to project size or scope being too small or out of their capabilities.

Always Learning – We consistently travel to tradeshows and other industry events to make sure we know what is happening in our market.

Fun – Fun is always in our company’s ethos. While we take our business seriously, our goal is to have fun while working for our customers. We find this creates an ‘approachability’ quality our customers prefer.
